We recently remodeled and improved our space to provide more ease of shopping
and more room to view and enjoy artwork. We will be offering art classes,
workshops, more live music and creative community events in 2010... so stayed tuned!
The Hudsucker Posse is a free and open Hula-Hoop dance and exercise group. Co-founded by Paula Chambers and Evangeline Fellows in March of 2009, The Hudsucker Posse holds hooping sessions two times a week in Bloomington's own Bryan Park. The support from the community has been overwhelming and the group continues to change and grow in both skills and size! Hooping burns over 600 calories and hour and combines both a cardio and resistance workout.
Paula says "I have never seen people have so much fun doing something so simple and beautiful. When we help people learn or re-learn to hoop, something lights up the inner child in them. Kids take to it like breathing and everyone gets so much joy out of it, we just knew we were onto something and have just kept hosting the hooping every week. In tough times it is hard to make people laugh, but laughter is the main ingredient every time we get together."
