Many apologies for being rather silent this past year and not updating the website as often as I had planned.
It was a rough year for the Sweany family as we lost an amazing woman and artist, our beloved Margaret Sweany (my mother) to Congestive Heart Failure last April, just two days shy of her 84th birthday. We are grateful to Hospice of Bloomington for their dedicated Staff and volunteers, and to Comfort Keepers (especially Rebecca Philippsen) for their incredible support through Margaret's illness. The family is also sincerely grateful to our many friends and family members who offered so much love and compassion to all of us, and to those who honored Margaret's wishes for memorial contributions in her name to be made to Pets Alive, a cause she cared for deeply.THANK YOU!!
I am back to the site and hoping to update and add many new items soon!
Coming soon to our On-Line Shop! Glass pendants by Ravenwood, B-Line Trail
t-shirts by Martina Celerin, and many, many more giclee reproductions by Paul J & Margaret L. Sweany, including note sets.
We currently have a $25 minimum order but will reconsider if it poses a hardship for those who wish to order through our site (email us: firstname.lastname@example.org). We are offering a flat fee delivery charge to our loyal brick & mortar customers who live within the Bloomington City limits. See our shipping policies page for more information. Don't hesitate to email if you have questions or concerns.
I look forward to continuing my support for local and regional artists/artisans, plus my artistic family (my sisters are all truly amazing artists as well!). By offering these wares to a wider audience, I hope to show the world what a special place Bloomington truly is and what talent our State of Indiana has to offer the national art scene!
Please sign up for our e-mail list and I will keep you posted on Sweany Artworks and Wandering Turtle offerings.
"If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth."
